Overview
The past couple of years have been a turning point in Enterprise Risk Management as more and more organizations begin to realize its value. In other words, they are no longer just talking about it, they are doing it.
This is the Symposium’s fifth year and we trust it will showcase the many ways in which value is being created. The year’s program was developed on the momentum of an overwhelming response to the call for presentations. The highlights include:
- General sessions featuring the top risk management experts offering their perspec-tives on key risk issues facing organizations. The energy sector perspective and key global regulatory issues will be the subject of individual sessions.
- Over 30 concurrent sessions featuring top industry professionals on the latest developments in ERM, risk management strategies, modeling, risk metrics, and capital management, among other topics. The broad coverage is designed to ad- dress the many areas of interest to different organizations
- An Academic track featuring the latest ERM research from leading universities
- The Call for Papers program featuring the best new research
- The Workshop Program – the Symposium is again offering three workshops prior to the regular program. This year an entire workshop is devoted to Operational Risk—a topic relevant to all organizations. The other workshops will cover the ERM similarities between banks and insurers and another covering the essential features of ERM targeting senior managers.
The Symposium also offers many networking opportunities with faculty and peers designed to encourage learning, developing, and sharing best practices across industries.
